Fundraising
The ACES depend a great deal on the revenues of their fundraising activities to keep the cost of program fees down for each family. ACES members participate in two types of fundraisers:
- All proceeds of Team Fundraisers go to the team.
- 75% of funds raised through Individual Family Fundraisers are applied to the individual team member's fees to help reduce the cost of being a member of the team. 25% of Individual Family Fundraisers go to the Club. (Total profits to the swimmer cannot exceed their total fees for the year.)
THANK YOU to the club members who volunteer their time and energy to make these events possible! Use the Event Summary form to track income and expenses from a fundraising event. Attach original receipts to the Expense Reimbursement form and submit to the treasurer.
Swim-a-Thon
This is one of the most important fundraisers for the team and we need to raise as much money as possible. Swim-A-Thon is the major national fundraising project in which most affiliated clubs in Canada participate. Swimmers participate in a marathon swim through obtaining pledges for so much per length swum, or a pre-determined amount. Swim-A-Thon is an excellent method of raising funds for our club! Watch for top fundraiser prizes for this fundraiser!
Also new this year will be a parents' and Masters swim-a-thon. Help support your team and see if you can swim more than your children!
ACES Pre-Teen Dances

Dances are held at the New Hamburg Community Centre on Jacob Street (old arena) from 7:00pm - 10:00pm for anyone in grades 5 to 8.
Mandatory volunteer help is required for our team fundraiser dances. Areas that need to be covered are: set-up, chaperoning, snack bar and clean up. ACES members, please refer to the "volunteer commitment" page for further information.

Bottle Drives
Thanks for everyone's help to make our bottle drives so successful. Together we raised over $1000.00 for our team. Look for details about this season's bottle drives in the newsletter or All-ACES emails.
For those of you unable to participate on the day of a bottle drive, please feel free to return your own empties (and those of your neighbours, family and friends) and donate the money to the club. You can give the money to either Colleen Cameron or Bev Woolvett at the pool. If you have any questions, please email Colleen at markncol@sympatico.ca.
