Congratulations to the Wilmot Aquatic ACES who were selected as Swim Ontario’s representative in the Swim City Canada 2010 competition! Based on the same idea of Hockeyville, this event will be held in conjuction with Sport Day in Canada on Sept 18th, 2010.
The Aces will be participating in Sport Day in Canada by hosting a "Catch a Wave for Cancer" fundraiser from 9am-11am on September 18, 2010 at the Wilmot Community Pool (439 Waterloo St., New Hamburg). We will be inviting other local groups to join us in some fun relays and games in a effort to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Visit our team fundraising page on the Canadian Cancer Society's website to make a donation, or better yet, click the Join This Team link to register as a participant!
Email Paul Mackie for more information about how you can GET WET, HAVE FUN and HELP MAKE CANCER HISTORY!
The following officials' clinics will be presented on September 25 at Fanshawe College's St. Thomas campus:
Lunch will be provided. Full details are here. Please email Dave Bloch-Hansen at davebh@rogers.com if you plan to attend.
"A visit to the Wilmont Aquatic Aces on a Thursday afternoon found the small club program with a history of bringing swimmers to the forefront of Ontario swimming. Forty plus swimmers jammed into the 6 lane pool but with great attention to detail with coaches lead
by head coach Joni Maerten Sanders on each corner of the pool interacting with the swimmers from learn to swim to Jr provincial including the multiple medal haul by Alex and Erica Buehlow. The club is waiting with great anticipation of their new 8 lane 25m pool scheduled for 2011 ☺."
