Could you swim three miles in two hours? Area competitive and novice swimmers are training hard to do just that during our annual Swim-A-Thon.

Funds collected will be used to help defray the high costs of swimming programs and towards the purchase of new equipment.

Your Swim-A-Thon contribution will help young athletes in your community as follows: achievement of a high level of physical fitness; an activity through which to acquire self-discipline; opportunities to excel in their sport; the ability to become role models for their friends in your community.

Pledges may be made online, through the ACES web site, at www.acesswim.ca or through sponsorship forms issued to the team members.

Following the Swim-A-Thon, the swimmers will collect in person your pledged contributions, not made online.

Official income tax receipts for amounts of $10.00 or more will be provided if requested.

The event runs this Saturday at the Wilmot pool from 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
