Aces compete in regionals

Several members of the Aces travelled to Brantford to compete at the Western Regional LC Championships on June 13 and 14.

Brooke Davidson won the 200 back stroke and 200 fly and set club records in both of these events. Alex Buehlow won all three of his events and took off more then 65 seconds in his three swims. Kristopher Sanders finished third in the 100 breast stroke and 1,500 freestyle. The 1,500 fr was a new club record. Erica Buehlow placed 8th in 200 br and 800 fr and 6th in the 1,500 fr. Lindsay Gutoskie finished 13th in the 200 br, Caleb Isaac was 11th in 200 bk, Jacob Isaac was 15th in 100 br and recorded best times in all. Blythe Mackie also had best times in all and finished 5th in 200 fly and 6th in 100 fly. Meghan Mackie had a best placing of 12th in the 200 fly; Dylan Riddell was 19th in the 100 bk; Zachary Sanders swimming his last 10 and under meet was 5th in 50 br and 7th in 50 fr. Sarah Sine finished 24th in 200 bk, Sam Whiteside has a 6th in the 800 fr and Vicky Whiteside finished 12th in the 100 bk.

Both Vicky and Sam Whiteside competed in the Open Water race in Leamington on the weekend and the Whiteside girls both won their races. Congratulations girls. Next up for the ACES: Collingwood, Year-end Party and Awards on June 28. The East Coast Championships in Halifax; Provincial Open Water July 9 in Brampton, and the Ontario Summer games for Kris, Alex and Derek in August.
