35 new swimmers sign up for team

The Aces are back in the pool.

"I've never said we'd have a waiting-list, but I think we're going to," said head coach Joni Maerten-Sanders.

To prevent a waiting-list from happening, a second coach will be hired.

The Aces have 30 new swimmers and 35 returning swimmers on the team. There are also about 12 master swimmers with the club.

Maerten-Sanders credits the Olympics with the big boost in membership this year.

"We always get good coverage," in the newspaper Maerten-Sanders said, which helps keep the swim club in peoples mind.

With normal swimming lessons full and a packed Aces team, she suggested it is time for a new pool.

There is still time and still room on the Aces if you didn't enrol your children in the now-full swimming lessons.

Maerten-Sanders said one doesn't need to know how to swim to join the club, as basic instruction is provided for younger children.

New this year for the Aces will be a number of different meets and new formats at those meets.
