Forty
members of the Aces travelled to Guelph to compete in the Aqua 7 final.
Last year the Aces were kept out of the winners circle so they were
determined to try to win again. The girls fell a little short with the
team finishing in fourth, however the boys fought a hard battle to win
and won by a mere eight points over Brantford. The Aces took a second
overall place at the meet. Eight Aces recorded 100 per cent best times,
they included; Nicholas Bailey, Josh Cober (who also qualified for his
first regional championship time in the 50 fr), J. Jay Funk, Annissa
Malthaner, Lola Vidakovic, Madeline Woolvett, Caleb Isaac, and Kaitlyn
Ulmer.
Gavin Tessier took off the most time overall with a 20 seconds improvement.
Those earning first place finishes included; Damon Woolvett (2),
Andrew Warr (2), Gavin Tessier (1), Zachary Sanders (1), Derek Govier
(3), Alex Buehlow (3), and Nicohlas Bailey (1).
