Aces finish short course season

The Aces
finished off their short course season with a couple of meets. Three
swimmers attended the Short Course Junior and PARA Provincials held in
Etobicoke.
Alex Buehlow was four events in the 15 year old category. He was
ninth in the 1500 fr.
Erica Buehlow swimming in the S-14 category swam to three top 8
placings. She was 1st in 100 br, third in 400 fr and 4th in 100 bk.
However we did not attend finals as Erica was not feeling well and had
another meet a week later.
Andrew Warr swam to a new WAAC record in the 200 fr and was 26th in
that event.
One week later six members of the ACES competed in the East Coast
Short Course CHampionships in Charlottetown PEI.
Top swimmer of the meet for the ACES was 17 year old Kris Sanders who
finished 5th in the 100m breaststroke. He broke WOA team records in the
400 fr and 50 br and broke the WAAC record in the 50 br. In the 50 br
he was 7th in the final.
Alex Buehlow 15 also had a good meet, he was 6th in the 200 fly with a
WOA record, and 8th in 100 fly. He also set a WAAC and WOA record in
800 fr and a WOA record in the 50 fly.
Mary Tilford also picked up a 6th place finish in the 1500 fr. She
set WOA records in 1500 fr, 800 fr, 100 fr and 50 bk. Erica Buehlow set a
WOA record in the 200 br and finished 10th in that event. Josh Cober
set two WOA records in the 400 fr and 50 bk. He had a best finish of
15th.
Rounding out the team was 12 year old Zach Sanders who had broke
three WOA records in 200 br, 200 fr and 50 br and a best placing of
15th.
Other member of the team attending from WOA were Scott Hendriks,
Krista Crawford, Patricia Desrochers and Hillary Elliott.
The boys relay team of Zach Sanders, Kris Sanders, Alex Buehlow and
Scott Hendriks broke a WOA record in the 4*100 freestyle relay
The girls 4*100 free relay finished 8th place members of that team
were Krista Crawford, Patricia Desrochers, Erica Buehlow and Mary
Tilford
Great Job swimmers. The ACES next meet will be in Waterloo on EAster
weekend.
